Interested in working with or supporting persons with disabilities? ADAPT will prepare you for your career through a broad range of training and skill development opportunities. Flexible, personal and professional, these are the hallmarks of ADAPT. Whether you complete your courses in a month or spread them out over the year all ADAPT students have access to 12 months of ongoing support services from ILRC’s team of dynamic trainers.
COVID-19: For your safety social distancing and sanitization procedures will be in place for all classes. Please do not attend training if you are experiencing any symptoms of the COVID-19 virus and follow the latest Manitoba Health guidelines.
Students must bring their own facemask, to be worn at all times, during their training
The ADAPT curriculum includes:
- Disability and Emergency Management Training
- Disability Awareness Resource Training
- Mental Health First Aid
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (Exclusive to ADAPT participants)
- Red Cross Emergency First Aid level C with CPR/AED
Cost: All five training components are offered for a onetime fee of $605 plus GST.
After successfully registering as an ADAPT student you are free to sign up for any of our regularly scheduled courses. Take only the classes you need! Meet with an ILRC representative to talk about your personal development program. If you decide to register by paying the ADAPT entrance fee you are still eligible for Nonviolent Crisis Intervention at no additional cost.
