What is the ILRC?

The ILRC is a consumer controlled organization that promotes and supports citizens with disabilities to make choices and take responsibility for the development and management of personal and community resources. Click here for more detailed information about the ILRC.

Is the ILRC only for people with disabilities?

No. The ILRC is a cross-disability organization that welcomes the participation of people with disabilites, their family, friends, and others in their support network as well as the community at large, especially in volunteering. Most of the ILRC's programs and services are available to people with self-declared disabilities (meaning that they do not have to have medical documentation to prove that they have a disability), but a few programs do require further elaboration, such as brokerage.

Aside from services, does the ILRC have any annual events?

The ILRC has several official and unofficial annual events: The ILRC has an annual AGM as well as an annual social and picnic. Additionally, there is the ILRC's Children's Christmas Party. Click here to see upcoming events.
